High in the mist-covered highlands of North Sumatra lies Puncak Siamang—Gibbon Ridge—our family's plantation and the birthplace of Mandailing Estate Coffee. Surrounded by ancient rainforest, volcanic soils, and the calls of wild siamang gibbons, this remote landscape has shaped our coffee for generations. It is here that a nearly forgotten coffee heritage was revived, preserving rare Typica trees and traditional cultivation methods passed down through decades of stewardship. From these rugged mountains emerged not only our estate-grown Arabica, but also the beginnings of our Wild Kopi Luwak legacy. Every cup reflects the character of this extraordinary place—a story of resilience, heritage, and a deep connection to the land that continues to guide everything we do.
